Men's Ministries

Two key ingredients in becoming a godly man are Bible teaching and solid friendships.  Our Men's Ministries emphasize the importance of growing in godly leadership while learning how to be more effective in the home and workplace. Proverbs 27:17

Being a man in today's society is no easy task. There is pressure to be a good husband, father, and provider.  The demands of the highly competitive workplace environment has produced reluctance to build close friendships with others. There is confusion regarding what it means to be a "real man."  In the midst of all this is a sweeping movement across the land to encourage, equip, and mobilize men to be men of God in their home, job, community, and church. The "IN" men of Glen ministry at Glen Baptist Church is designed to help men in four ways.

"IN" men are men of ...

"IN" fluence: To make a difference in their home, business, community, and church; men must leave their personal comfort zone, stand up, and be heard. ~ I Timothy 4:12

"IN" tegrity; Men keep their word and do not waiver. Men apply biblical principles to their work ~ Romans 12:11

"IN" timacy; A husband's top priorities must be the cultivation of his relationships; God, his wife, and his children.  Men must be willing to become friends with other men. ~ Ephesians 5:24, 28

"IN" volvement: In an era when both the "tough guy," and the sensitive man, roles seem limiting, the Bible provides role models and ministry principles on what true masculinity is all about ~ Colossians 3:23

Key Opportunities:

Join us each Tuesday at 6:00 AM when a faithful group of the men of Glen join together to hold the needs of the church, individuals and worldwide missions before the Lord in prayer.  Believing the Lord answers prayer, it is enriching and rewarding to see the Lord's Hand move in mighty ways

Pastor's Prayer Army-On the even numbered years such as 2000, 02, 04, 06, 08, etc., the men of Glen ban together and commit to pray specifically for our pastors in seven points of leadership on their assigned day. One commits to pray every day; seven men commit to pray each day of the week and 30 sign on for one specific day a month with the assurance that the pastors are praying specifically for them that same day. It's wonderful to grow together as we pray for each other.

Throughout the year the men of Glen enjoy a variety of opportunities and activities that draw new men to the Fellowship and old friends closer together, such as Bible studies, retreats, conferences, campouts, breakfasts, dinners and sporting events, to note just a few.
